While Samsung was able to launch an unfinished and untested Galaxy Fold, Apple is too trusted to attempt something crazy like that. The majority of smartphone users are accustomed to the generic slab phone design, and for good reason – it’s simple, pocketable, and easy to use.
As someone who’s used every dual-screen and folding phone out there, I’ve realized that while phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Surface Duo are cool and exciting, they quickly become bulky and discouraging to use. Traditional form factor phones are extremely convenient and reliable.
