Wuff Wuff’s Guide to Warmup Commands
Introduction
As an avid gamer, I know the importance of warming up before jumping into a game. Sometimes, the warmup time provided in-game isn’t enough, and that’s where console commands come in handy. In this guide, I’ll be sharing my favorite warmup commands that I use to get ready for competitive matches.
Warmup Commands
Bot Kicking
The first thing I do when warming up is kick all the bots. This gives me a chance to move around the map and get a feel for my surroundings without any distractions.
To do this, open up the console and type bot_kick
.
Show Grenade Trajectory
Next, I like to turn on grenade trajectory so I can practice my throws. This is especially helpful for maps with tricky angles or for practicing pop flashes.
Type sv_grenade_trajectory 1
in the console to enable this feature.
Show Bullet Impacts
Another command I use is to show bullet impacts. This helps me to see where my shots are landing and adjust accordingly.
Type sv_showimpacts 2
to enable this feature.
Infinite Ammo
To make sure I don’t have to worry about running out of ammo while practicing, I turn on infinite ammo.
Type sv_infinite_ammo 1
in the console to enable this feature.
Add Bots
After I’ve had a chance to warm up on my own, I like to add bots to the game to practice against. This helps me to work on my aim and reaction time.
Type bot_add t
to add a bot to the Terrorist team. You can also use bot_add ct
to add a bot to the Counter-Terrorist team.
Freeze Time
To give myself a chance to strategize before each round, I like to turn off the freeze time.
Type mp_freeztime 0
to disable the freeze time.
Round Time
By default, each round lasts 1 minute and 55 seconds. To give myself more time to practice, I increase the round time to 60 minutes.
Type mp_roundtime_defuse 60
to set the round time to 60 minutes.
Buy Time
To give myself more time to buy weapons and equipment, I increase the buy time to 99999.
Type mp_buytime 99999
to set the buy time to 99999.
Max Money
I like to set the max money to 99999 so I can buy whatever I need during warmup.
Type mp_maxmoney 99999
to set the max money to 99999.
Starting Money
To make sure I have enough money to buy weapons and equipment at the start of each round, I increase the starting money to 99999.
Type mp_startmoney 99999
to set the starting money to 99999.
Buy Anywhere
To make buying weapons and equipment more convenient, I enable buy anywhere.
Type mp_buyany_where 1
to enable this feature.
